O artista têxtil Renato Imbroisi trabalha com artesanato em travessia pelo mundo; o que se modifica em sua criação são sempre as relações entre as comunidades. Sua pesquisa parte do artesanato local de várias comunidades espalhadas por diversos continentes, ele estabelece relação direta com o design. Renato organiza uma escuta atenta, e logo realiza uma oficina criativa para entender quem são as artesãs e os artesãos que possuem conhecimentos e técnicas que compartilham de novas matrizes, ao passo que mantêm preservados seus desenhos e técnicas tradicionais como traços identitários.
A construção é colaborativa, a criação é coletiva, a direção de seus trabalhos se alimenta da criação autoral de cada pessoa. Abre-se um novo olhar sobre o que pode ser feito sem perder a originalidade cultural; o intuito é apresentar o trabalho de outras formas para outros lugares. Cada lugar é um lugar, cada encontro é uma oportunidade de evocar percepções históricas para além das identidades culturais.
A relação entre as pessoas e os países constituem elos; cada elo na criação de Imbroisi é o elemento de ligação, de entrelaçamento e união das narrativas territoriais de três pontos do globo: América Latina, África e Europa. Cada trabalho comunitário passível de junção, utiliza as mãos dos seus saberes ancestrais, pertencentes a cada uma de suas identidades culturais. Arte conduzida por tramas entre relações culturais que unem vários materiais como a linha, o tecido, a fibra, o barro e o osso.
A exposição A(r)tmosphera será composta por esse elo coletivo do fazer manual, por esse elo de pessoas como reflexão sobre a identidade cultural na pós-modernidade, das centenas de comunidades trabalhadas pelo artista ao longo de quarenta anos. Sua trajetória é de experiências coletivas, de observação da natureza local e das vidas humanas, trabalhadas sob a estética compartilhada pela diversidade das vidas comunitárias que resultam em conjuntos de técnicas onde tanto a mulher quanto a natureza são as forças motrizes.

The textile artist Renato Imbroisi works with his craft while crossing through the world; what changes in his creations are always relations between communities. Starting from the local craft of various communities spread throughout a number of continents, he establishes a relationship with design. Renato organizes a careful listening, and proceeds to a creative workshop in order to understand who the artisans are, that possess new knowledge and techniques, who can share new backgrounds, while keeping their traditional techniques and drawings as traces of identity.
Construction is collaborative and creation is collective, his work’s direction feeds off of the authorial contribution of each man and woman. A new gaze emerges, regarding what may be done: the idea is to present work in different forms and in different manners according to different places. Each place is a place, each encounter is an opportunity for evoking historical perceptions reaching beyond cultural identities.
The relations between people and countries make bonds; each ring in Imbroisi's creation is an element of the bond, interweaving and union of territorial narratives in three continents: South America, Africa and Europe. Every communal work that can be joined uses the hands of its ancestral knowledge, belonging to cultural identities. Art conducted through weavings of cultural relationships, uniting a number of materials such as chords, fibres, clay and bone.
The A(r)tmosphera exhibition will be composed of this collective bond of manual making, as a reflection of cultural identity in post-modernity, of the hundreds of communities worked on by Renato Imbroisi throughout forty years. His trajectory is one of collective experiences, of observing local nature and the human lives to be worked with under the aesthetic shared through the diversity of communal lives that result in sets of techniques where woman and nature are the guiding forces.
